(May bagay na hindi ako naintindihan, dial tone or fax on kapag tatawag.

Update 08/22/13
This is my second time I send a fax; still I was assisted since I got it wrong….
So here’s another thing I have learned:

Dial the phone number and wait until you will hear the beeping tone and then press send. But before that, you should put the letter you will send in the first feeder. You will notice there are two feeder. The one located at the back is where the receipt will be printed.

Paper should be facing back…

Tea Tayo…

-back ache
-abdominal pain
-post dsymenorrhea.

Effects are still caused by combination of factors.

Nagtataka ako minsan despite na marami daw naitutulong ito sa katawan like antioxidant daw ito and the likes eh madami pa ring umiiwas sa pag inom ng tea. Some religions even forbid their members of drinking such teas.

Lipton Tea:
Di ko makita yung expiry date. Sana  naka include dun sa handle nung Lipton product

UNDECIDED:
- Can kill bacteria
- Relieve stress and anxiety. Ginagamit na gamot sa head ache at depression nung unang panahon.
- Antioxidant = prevent cancer
- Stronger Bones
- Heart - Pinapababa niya level of cholesterol at nagpapabilis ng recovery ng heart cell. Pero may caffeine siya na is not good for the heart din.

DISLIKES:
- Weight loss. Payat na ako, baka lalo ako pumayat
- Caffeine.
Good for you if you have a high physical tolerance of caffeine.
- Acidity.

Though I have this feeling na nakakadry ng balat ang tea.
- Anti-Aging

Tamang pangangalaga at pangangailangan.

Umiinom ka ba ng green tea?

Pechay in Pots

Finally I’m back into gardening...

A vegetable garden to be specific… meaning I will be reunited with my dearest Pechay. Ah, the vegetable I’m very fond of planting not of eating though. Being persuaded by two friends, one who tend to plant with me and the other one who gave me this seeds, finally it came to my senses after a period of eternity-like vacation.

Vegetable Seeds

The one in the flattened cotton is pechay and cucumber. Cucumber since my friend Dikya were babbling about giving me a cucumber seeds, I said I still have some kept in refrigerator. Yes, it is in our refrigerator to avoid fungi, moulds or whatever that can make it expire. Seasoned vegetable for this month of June are Sitaw and Sili according to him.

I also have kangkong and okra inside the plastic. I guess it would be reasonable to plant kangkong this rainy season, so I scattered some in the backyard.

Garden Pots

Pots pots pots…

Excluding the one I took for my gardening. I still have plenty eh? Those were just some of the many pots I used last year when I have tons of pechay in the yard and other vegetables. My eggplants were still alive and bearing fruits. Though I have almost a farm of vegetables before, after months of laborious tendering, all of them were left to die or eaten by pesky insects, because of me… sigh… I even have other vegetables planted in black plastic pot. I planted 20-25 eggplant seedlings, which some survived with father’s mercy of replanting it into real soil.

Pechay Seeds

Uh-oh.. Don’t mistake it as part of the seed. I just wrapped the cotton in a swirling fashion to serve as a reminder for me where that heck is, just in case I get impatient in watering. I have a little qualm that it might serve as an obstruction in the growing roots. We will know..

Pechay in Pots

Pechay seeds in little pots for future transfer.
1. Put dirt in the pot.
2. Watered the soil to make it damp.
3. Prepared the seed.
4. Pressed the seed slightly.
Wish it will not rain that hard.

Cucumber in Pots

I got the wrong focus. Cucumber seeds. Pipino in tagalong.
The type of soil I have here is a mixture of manure, rice husk and dirt.

Saluyot with Pots

With the onset of rainy season, thunderstorm hails too. Thunderstorm means mushroom, father said. I miss mushroom. One of the dishes I used to like is the Ilokano dinengdeng not to mention when mushroom is part of the ingredient. In the picture you’ll see one saluyot which found its way first before I turned the place into my temporary vegetable garden.

Big pots except the rubber one were laid with one pechay each which I’ve done for the first time. If it will turn out well, I might make my other pechay just like that to avoid getting into the hassle of transferring seedlings. So far, the only drawback I can see would be unnourished soil due to watering.

Vegetable in Pots
Finally, my first vegetable garden for this year.

It would be nice to take advantage of the weather for planting Kamote, watcha think?

Blog Update 01

I haven’t been updating my blog for weeks now. My old lappy, who’s been my loyal companion since 2nd year of my college year, is in miserable throe. I finally decided I won’t make much stress for him for now. Yes it's a 'he'. My vintage camera bothers me too. The flash is too painful in the eyes. You know the feeling when you try to light up the powdery stuff inside the 5star on New Year’s Eve? Feels like old school photography.

So for now, I’m a bit incapacitated. I'm considering buying a new netbook but I should be cautious I might spend impulsively for some impractical things. I should consider too of something I can use longer and conveniently. Then again, I might just be blinded of my strong desire to have new laptop.

Let's see what will happen...

Sigh, with tight money on hand, I can't just invest in things that will eventually turn into a bad investment.

Logos Hope in La Union

Probinsiyana’s experience during the anchorage of the floating bookstore in La Union.

Floating bookstore. Something in my imagination back then was a huge ship that carries millions of book worldwide. Enthusiasm flooded me as I picture a countless unique and interesting books that for the first time will find its way in this land. And and, I might find a puzzlemania book and Ilokano dictionary I am very keen of .

But I made the wrong impression, a little bit shame on me. It is far from a commercial business I was thinking of but more likely a charitable organization.

For those who will enter this place, I just want to remind you that this place deserves a huge respect.  And if you happen to visit here too, I hope you give consideration for the effort and devotion of the volunteers that make this mission possible.

PICTURES TAKEN DURING THE TRIP:

The view outside the Logos Hope. Can you see the rainbow there?

First Time:
It was a Saturday morning of that day; the weather is at odds as the sun was shining intensely. I wished it was the other way around, a bit of cloudy. It was 9:30am when we arrived. Two shades were set up for the waiting visitors. Arriving early means we have to stand and wait, and this time was not the early bird catches the worm cliché. We we’re standing there for 40-50 minutes, excitement flushed away. However, when they finally opened the gate for us, we didn’t have to pay the entrance fee.

                Entrance Fee: P20.00
                Opening time: 10:00am
                Closing time: 9:00pm

It is my first time to see a clear and close view of a shipping sail or it might be the first time that I paid attention. I wanted to feel the sea sickness, the waves of the sea, and I am daydreaming again.

Logos Hope
My friend and her niece

This should have been a cancelled visit, yet when I discovered the strong desire of that little young girl in the picture to see the floating bookstore, I can’t help but to be a temporary Genie granting her little wish.

We are actually heading home the time I took this picture. Just an overview for you guys how it looks like outside.

Here you will see a brief history of the ship and their older ship in their mission to give help, hope and knowlege. Take a look and be inspired through looking at those pictures of the ship’s journey. Pay considerable attention not just for the sake of taking pictures, but with the sacredness of this place. I couldn’t be more inspired to learn different nationalities all over the world who where united because of the sublime desire to kindle hope, knowledge and help in different places in this world.

People swarming inside the Logos Hope

Please guys, let's return the things we took in its appropriate place and avoid disarranging the books.

The only decent picture i have. Yes I am really a camera shy person as what others call it.

Preview of the canteen. There's a lot of people out there

An ice cream treat.

The book I really wanted to have. Having a Collins mini dictionary gave me hesitation in purchasing another one. I originally wanted this one but national bookstore doesn’t have this when I went there some time ago.

Most of the picture I have here are photos I got on the second time I went in Logos Hope. The first time I went there, I was with my little sister and my Tita. But uh-oh. I learned my lesson and that was checking the battery of my camera. Before the event, I already had the mixed feeling of hesitation and confidence that it might last. Unfortunately, I believed in the latter >_<. Next time, I will charge my battery ahead of time.

I am looking forward for the return of this ship… someday.
