Eskinol for Pimples Know How

How to apply Eskinol

The first beauty product that was given and introduced to me is Eskinol. That was the day when I am finally allowed to use something on my face, the rest I am not permitted to try due to my mother’s fear of anything chemical or artificial and its effect to young skin. After those 9 long years though, I still have pimples. Eskinol has been in the market for so long that my Mom and Lola were still fond of it. My Uncle and Aunt use that too. The traditional way of using it is through pouring a small amount of Eskinol on clean cotton and wiping it all over the face until it is dirt free. Use spare cotton if necessary. They don’t wash their face after or prior to that.

Early Ignorance

I have tried using Eskinol after washing the face and Eskinol alone but still my face is plagued with pimples. In my ignorance, I have tried few different bottles without taking into consideration the active ingredient each bottle has. Still none has worked. Every bottle has different formulations, meaning it addresses different skin needs. This fact didn’t exist in my mind back then as I went along with what my Mom and friends recommend. Please take note though, that different skin types exist. One product may work for some while other will not.

Understanding the Kind of Pimples you Have

There are different kinds of pimples, there are these occasional 1-3 pimples and the many tiny little bumps that don’t really look like pimple (the kind of pimple I have). The worst pimples are the biggest and numerous kind that leaves the skin a crater look. It even has a puss on it.

Treating your Pimples

I heard some successful stories about using Eskinol to prevent pimples. They use a different kind of bottle for breakouts and switch to another for maintenance. In my humbe opinion, it is better to start with the mildest form of getting rid of pimples. Using a bar soap especially on young skin is the first step, this is good for mild kind of pimples. This requires patience as you have to wash your face everyday. There is also spot treatment, a product that you will only apply in skin that has pimple, for occasional pimples (2-3 pimples). For worse scenario, you better ask help from a dermatologist for experimenting may only do you bad instead of helping you out of it.

Eskinol Oil Control Facial Deep Cleanser

Personal Eskinol Experience

The Eskinol Oil Control Facial Deep Cleanser with Pure Lemon Extract is the last variant I’ve tried hoping to battle the oiliness of my face. What I was thinking and trying to test is that, oiliness means no pimples. Eskinol is an astringent, not a toner. Alcohol is not good for sensitive skin. It made my face oilier than normal and gave me more pimples than what I wish for. From seldom to twice a day, I shift to using it only at night hoping to minimize the oiliness. I also don’t like the shiny face it gives my face after application.

Tips: Avoid the eye area. It is more delicate than the other part of the skin in your face.

    1. I'm planning to try that, sad tos say I got the wrong variant of Eskinol. That's effective due to strong antibiotic property of the Dalacin. I believe it really would be effective for worst kind of acne, same as the Himalaya face wash (milder) since both of works like antibiotic.

Though I have a mild kind of pimples, it's like just some ingrown hair :(. I'm still not sure what will work for me (exfoliation or antibiotic?) Why not try it? It can be used as spot treatment too. Use it in your chin only and stop when everything is healed.

    1. I don't know mine eh. Never pa dumalaw sa derma. I have an oily face kasi and I need to avoid exposure from dusts. I don't have problems with pimple marks and blemishes, occasional yung ganung kinds of pimples ko and I am not bothered by them as they fade easily (and they're not my main problem >_<). Unless... un nga if I'm in field and exposed magkakapimples ako.

Yet I have tiny bumps on my face (stubborn problem). They're comodomes. It makes the face look rough. Kaya ko nasabing exfoliation kasi it's a clogged hair follicle sa skin. I just hope that there's a cheap product out there that can prevent the appearance of this bumps. Though alam ko naman na GOOD NIGHT sleep lang yung katapat nun, but I don't have that. Magulo sleeping cycle ko and I can afford to sleep 8 hours daily.

Pimple marks and blemishes.. Hmmm. I feel like the cream I used before conceals it and then the blemishes just disappears na lang. It's the foundation or the powder ganun then ordinary panghugas ng muka will do. I use Maybelline pressed powder and pinakaHG ko is yung Skinwhite powdery cream (It doesn't state in the packaging na it is used before sleeping yet it feels like it do wonders when i go to sleep wearing this).

    1. Ganun din siguro sa akin pero it's okay, I can aways conceal it as long as it's flat. Ang mahirap lang is yung malalaki na kahit iconceal mo is halata pa rin. Concealing cream ng maxipeel perhaps is meant for users of maxipeel solution na nag undergo ng chemical peeling. Maybe it's heavy for normal skin. Kaya i'm still on search for a cheap non-comodogenic product.

    1. I use Myra E in red sachet naman, the plainer one. It doesn't have non-comodogenic label though. There are cleansers kasi na super dry kaya hindi ko matiis maglagay, naiisip ko na I might get wrinkles (worst is getting dry and oily face at the same time) kaya I want to somehow condition my face. Besides mas kumakapit yung powder and mas natural tingnan sa muka if we moisturize our face first. Certain products doesn't work on us anymore especially if the changes or our activities/lifestyle changed. I might go to derma na rin, I'll just wait for someone to accompany me.

  5. I've been to two dermatologists already that was last year. I was bothered sa mga pimples ko sa side chin area. Dun lng tlga cia lage nggkkron. I had clear skin ever snce then suddenly ganun n nga. Okay nmn so far. Then pag mei bumps or tumutubo pimples na maliit I just use Avon's Blemish Rescue Instant Spot Corrector, 89 pesos lng.

Yun lang that time the dermatologist is only available 3 times a week and it falls sa working days pa. What I did that time ata is just I hoarded a lot of products na lang. I have once a clear skin too.. 8 years ago XD Parang may halong sumpa ata once na may nagsabing "Bakit ang kinis ng mukha mo, anong ginagawa mo?" Then kinabukasan me pimples na :D

That's something I'm hesitant too. There's a lot of blogs I've read where derma doesn't help them at all. It's mostly just causes a hole in the pocket. Then they sometimes prescribe a very expensive product. Maybe they own that Acne Lemon Soap? It's very exhausting to deal with reoccuring pimples when the problem is actually caused by internal problems.

What I do sometimes is I just go to a spa na lang and let them prick my white heads x(

    1. Ouch.. I accidentaly deleted your previous comment. Too bad walang recycle bin and undo.

Baka sa albularyo na kailangan magpatingin sis :D oh yeah, find one which is effective and be very observant of the ingredients and how it works. Once naman mag pa spa ka you can choose the facial wash they will do. I have a bad experience din whenever I go there because hindi lahat ng nag aassist parehas ng quality ng service. Meron yung minadali, meron din yung pineperahan lang na nagsuggest ng mahal, meron din naman yung seryoso and gives a very nice service (rarely happens). Ang hirap kasi itiwala sa iba itong case natin since sometimes they don't look competent at all. What I am afraid is wasting money to not so worth it service. Okay lang sana kung kagaya ni Dra. Vicky Belo..

That's why I created this blog too, for me to learn about the products that I've tried.

Thanks for sharing ate!

    1. Depende kung gaano kalala yung pimples mo or kung very bothered ka na, kung ganun maybe you should go to a derma na. Naisip ko din dati na mag paderma pero I chose to experiment with different products first bago magpaderma. That is why I've created this blog. So far I've found naman the reason why I have pimples and the ways to avoid it.

You can ask the derma naman kung may side effect yung gagamitin sayo. Besides, yung mga binebentang facial products sa palengke is may side effects din (ranging from mild to strong) naman kaya read product reviews pag may time. Though meron din namang super mild products.

Balita ko, very effective yung eskinol + dalacin C for spot treatment ng huge pimples. Kasi ang effective sa akin is Kojie san rinsed with warm water and hormonal theraphy. Try mo yung with Dalacin C, and kindly remember na hiyangan lang talaga and "trial and error". Sorry sa late reply pala...
