Placenta, charcoal, papaya, oatmeal, sulfur, kojic acid, gluthathione, etc. Remember those days? Did you even try any of them? And now here comes the miracle oil, the Emu oil. Or maybe I'm just late to know.

This is one my first loot with Sample Room. If you didn't know what Sample Room is, I have a post that tells my first experience there. The small size of sample can be quite unsatisfying but is considerable if you think about the expensiveness of the full size and the gathering process of the emu oil.

Here is my review in Sample Room:

I was bit disheartened that the sample is not large but still greatly surprised with its effect. I got small patches of bruise in my legs and it did lighten it in a very short span of time. It’s miracle oil indeed. It even works with fresh bites and helps lighten blemishes. It’s a multipurpose product and I want to have a full size of it.

How Emu oil works?

The natural oil from our body protects our skin and makes it soft, smooth and well-hydrated. The fatty acids found in Emu oil are somehow similar to the natural oil our body produced. With the use of Emu oil, it helps in protecting, repairing and restoring our skin in a sort of natural way.

There are too many believed benefits of Emu oil. It helps in pain reduction, relief of irritation, reducing redness (anti-inflammation) and of moisturizing the skin. It is said to treat several skin illnesses and is anti-aging. Others I don't mention here.

In woman's everyday dealings, part of it has our hand's exposure. Pretty good looking hands will leave an impression, give rise to admiration and perhaps respect, or will somehow reveal our personality and how we’re taking care of ourselves. It is one of the parts of the body that usually undergoes criticism. Other people does look at our hands.

A hand cream is a necessity and part of the personal hygiene. Unfortunately, I am endowed with a very sensitive skin. It dries quickly and looks ugly especially in cold temperatures. To address the issue, I started using different hand moisturizer and gloves whenever I wash clothes or the likes.

Isn't it nice if this product was already made in the past? I’m always been a Safeguard user and I always find my way back even if I try another brands of soap. Safeguard is our regular bar soap since it is very well advertised even before. It’s been there ever since.

After I saw the ingredients, I’m quite discouraged. The main active ingredient is Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract. There’s nothing grand or spectacular about it. But it is dermatologist tested and Safeguard has made its reputation for its long life in the industry. Kumbaga subok na.

Even then, some of my friends just use a plain safeguard in their face and viola! They have a clean pimple-free face. Some use eskinol afterwards. But this alone doesn’t work for me. I still have to find the right product that will work for my face.

Smell/Texture
The color of the bar is green. It doesn’t smell eucalyptus at all and it reminds me of those soaps that have deodorizing effect. The smell is quite a turn off. There is a same safe guard bar that smells like this, I’m not sure if it’s the blue or the green one. Luckily, I’ve found a smaller box to try, there is another bar for sensitive skin and I wonder what's the color and smell of it.
