Dove White Beauty Bar (Review)

There's a mix feeling of love and hate in my past experience with Dove soap. Since I was accustomed with bar soaps that gives a dry yet clean feeling, using Dove for the first time is quite a turn off. The new smooth bath experience can still be tolerated even if it feels like it doesn’t remove dirt and oil. It was during my high school years that I avoided this soap for the reason that it causes me to sweat more. The residues of the soap in the skin triggers perspiration for a student who has a lot of extra curricular activities and doesn’t have the luxury of staying in an air-conditioned room. The heat of the sun alone is uncomfortable and there’s even the bad humidity to count in. The discomfort intensified until it spoils my supposedly normal day.

Dove White Beauty Bar (Review)

Then I came back from using this soap. I find the change strange for I also can’t recall the main culprit that leads me to that shift. I still don’t like this for morning use but I found a way to appreciate it by using this only at night. The smooth and silky feel it provides makes the slumber heavenly. There’s something comforting in the way the fabric touches the skin when you use this. It makes my bed a soothing haven and takes part in giving me a good night sleep.

Digestics Probiotic Food Supplement | ConstipAid (REVIEW)

I receive this two box of samples. Hurray! For the generous amount. At first, I'm afraid to use this because of the impression that it's a product for constipation. To make the most of the shipping fee though, I included it in my cart. Besides it's free, I'm into probiotic drinks and it's a sample to try after all.

Digestics Probiotic Food Supplement | ConstipAid (REVIEW)

"Probiotic"

Probiotics are good bacteria that help our digestive system. They ensure balance and encourage the intestine to absorb the nutrients from the food we eat. With healthy internal body, we can prevent the occurrence of illnessess thus leading us to a longer life. Wouldn't it be nice to possibly avoid colon cancer too?

Digestics Probiotic Review

One of the noticeable thing about this product is its price. One sachet costs around P25. Buying yakult is cheaper and that amount can already buy a bottle of drink in seven eleven. A sachet of coffee and a small pack of oatmeal is also less expensive. Granting all this, a small sachet of digestics has its own promising contents for improved digestive health. Its value will mostly appear and appreciated on a different and special kind of occasions.

Price:   P250 for 1 box with 10 sachet

How I Claim My Parcel in the Post Office

International Package

If you browse over the internet, you'll find a lot of horror and heartbreaking stories of lost packages sent by love ones abroad. With little knowledge about how the post office really works, it gets itself vulnerable from lack of trust of the public. On the positive side, it is possible that those complaints are incomplete, not udpated and made by unknown individuals. But somehow this indirectly warns us to be wary and alert in our transactions.

This is a detailed personal story of how I claim my parcel.

After the unsuccessful first follow up of parcel in the post office, I decided to pay a last visit. It was August 1 when I was informed about the possibility of receiving an item from a sender. Days passed after the first visit in the post office but I still haven't received any notice of claim from the postman.

Mena Facial Cream (Review)

I'm overloaded with impossible and irrational number of tasks beyond my capacity. I'm still wondering what life lesson will it give me later. Will it make me a better person or will cause me more harm? Is this injustice or a prerequisite everyone will have a taste of? It's like some Cinderella story enduring the cruelty of her step-sisters.

Please bear with me. I am trying to catch up from blogging but my body seems want to escape (by sleeping) from all the stresses of demanding battlefield. It really feels good that Friday is over as it's time to get refreshed and inspired all over again.

Finally, I am able to post this after many attempts to finish this article. I've tried it on the past few days but it seems I cannot harmonize the outline I made after creating the paragraphs. I lacked the right mood to make the brain work and prevent this to turn into junk.

So let me finally introduce the Mena Facial Cream review...

Container of the Mena Facial Cream

Mena Facial cream is a product of Thailand that aims to lighten the skin and remove blemishes. It's affordable, suitable for all skin types and can be found registered in FDA website. I really did look for assurance due to parabens and hesitation to use this.

Poor and Insignificant Product Review

I’m about to make a product review when my mind suddenly drift into contemplation. I’ve tried different products just because an online review gave a promising result. Then when I tried it, I feel foolish after.

Reviews are not always credible. Reading a single review is not enough due to large garbage of information. Some reviews are influenced by paid advertisement while some collection of reviews in a single site came from a mixture of consumers with different level of experiences.

A good review should given a thorough observation and should somehow educate potential buyers. It has distinguished qualities that set it apart from a sponsored post. It should have a goal of guiding us in decision making.

Colour Collection Lip Perfection (in Crema) Review

Colour Collection Lip Perfection (in Crema) Review

If you don't want getting  an impression that is far from your personality, wear the right shade. Wearing red lipstick in the past has gone through arguments and controversies. Bold colors were worn by performers and ehem, prostitutes. Well, that’s in the past. I’m just a teenager when I was given my first lipstick. They should have given me lip balms instead, ewan ko ba.

I was hesitant to try Crema as it looks somehow similar with my previous lipsticks, but then the only way you can find the shade that suits you best is to have a first hand experience. Merely swatching it on the side of the hands is not enough for beginners. (Unless the skin in your hands and in your lips really looks the same). I have dark and dull lips and I really don’t find swatching helpful. There’s a lot of contributing factor too that makes it different once applied in the lips such as the consistency, pigmentation, thickness, luster, ingredients, skin tone, looks, personality etc. So even after you swatch it in your hands or forearm, it will not be the same as what it will be in the lips.

Weekend Jam

The previous week was packed with program and activities. There's also the presence of typhoons and a discomfort brought by dysmenorrhea. Tasks still needs to be juggled. That's why I'm really looking forward for the end of the week to come.

Unwantedness, when shown openly, is very uninspiring. It can instantly change a fine mood into a pathetic feeling and hopelessness. It leaves an ugly impression, create division and a negative chain reaction to those who are a narrow minded.

Lesson Learned

-How do you want to be remembered someday? As source of inspiration, a role model or a bad example?
-Always put the convenience of the client as your top priority.
-Stay professional even without recognition.
-Creative ideas are gold.

Bahay na Bato (Stone House)

Bahay na Bato, found in the province of La Union ,is not the typical historical house known for stone foundations and wooden second floor rather it's like a rest house with lots of stone sculptures in different sizes. There's also a tiny swimming pool where kids can dip in and have fun. Stones in the pathways has flower carvings and there's another pathway where wood carvings with faces are displayed.

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream Review

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream Review

I saw this once from other blog and it made me wish that I could also try this someday. It was such a luck when it came in stock during my VIP subscription in Sample Room.

This review made me realize that nail and cuticle are different from each other. The nail plate is the hard stuff made from keratin proteins while the cuticle are the white dead skin cells in the sides and the folds of our nails. Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream is a dedicated and a gentle product that moisturizes our cuticle.

Cuticles prevent us from acquiring infections and protects the nails. A nourished cuticle will encourage a healthy nail growth.

Shoe Repair: Stitching and Rubber Sole Replacement.

Whenever I want something, I tend to go an extra mile to achieve it. But with this kind of mindset, why is that I am still here? The discovery of life changing ideas is not always easy, sometimes we have to search it with great effort. Making our own trail is better than mimicking others. You can choose to mind your own business and be unique or be under the shadow of someone ahead of you. Which is better?

Shoe Repair: Stitching and Rubber Sole Replacement.

White shoes are hard to find and they're also my daily standard shoes. I really have to wait and go to different stores to find the right design. Aside from being picky, I don't want to exceed P800 if there's a cheaper alternative. Why invest for a very expensive one if it won't look presentable (as it will worn) for the next following years? A lifespan of 6 months is okay. White flat shoes looks very neat if you can maintain its brand new look.

Himalaya Face Wash Review (Purifying Neem) Normal to Oily Skin

Himalaya Face Wash Review (Purifying Neem) Normal to Oily Skin

This gave me a mixed feeling of “should I like it or not?”. Since this sample needs only 20 points, it makes me feel that it’s not that well known and popluar. I lost my desire of using this when I started to feel it's not working. There is a dryness and the forming of few tiny cystic pimples after 1 week of usage. That first week though, I have a very high expectation with this product since it is in gel form and gives me a nice smooth washing experience.

Based on most reviews, it works for them and they like the smell. It reminds me of kitchen cleansers because of the acid like smell. Despite of being in a gel form, it does make the skin dry. The instruction said not to use it under the eye. It is better not to overdo or exceed with 2 times of lathering as the skin starts to become dry and stiff. On the first few weeks, I can survive without a moisturizer but later on I started applying light moisturizer (Myra E).

Lost in Instagram Contest and COM Giveaways, But Still Won.

There’s a bit of sadness when losing a contest and not being picked as COM  especially after the hard work involved and giving your heart into it.  This applies to different kinds of endeavors in my life. It wakes you up from a dreamy state and tells you that there’s really no shortcut in everything. A 101% of hard work is needed or you just have to be lucky.

I really was crestfallen that night and so uninspired that I just went to sleep early. Too bad I remember my frustration back in college. That’s the price I paid for involving myself of a distraction. Though I am thankful I experienced the leap I never have thought would happen 9 years ago.

The irony is that when you stop being too serious, that’s the time the blessing will present itself. Sometimes it is in a different form and those past awful experience will make you appreciate things better. I’m positive of unlocking future surprises! I know there’s more…

Nominated for Liebster Award (Question and Answer)

I’m wondering why I’m getting traffic from Ms. Kim’s blog. Then it just happened that I stumble in her blog again and was surprised to found my blog listed there. This young lady is very pretty she reminds me of Aubrey Miles. I like it whenever she posts her OOTD. Better check her blog link here: http://weirdkim.blogspot.com/ and get to know her. She nominated me for Liebster Award which is given to bloggers with less than 200 followers. I'm quite touched. ^_^

Question and Answer From Previous Nominee

Oh is this a pageant question? It took me a while before I could answer this for I thought I would have a hard time answering it.

The Gifted (Movie Review) – Watch it!

I cringe whenever it’s a Tagalog made film. There’s always this feel of poor quality and a movie that was only created just to raise money. Nasosobrahan sa kakornihan pero kinakagat ng masa. And they become what they watch too. Nonetheless, my little sister really likes Tagalog comedy because she can easily understand the jokes.

I tried watching Filipino-made movies through computer, and there seems like a lacking push to give our movie an unforgettable impact. These are very evident with love stories that makes me hesitate to watch it in sinehan. A badly made film will make me less interested and uninspired to watch another story.

That’s why I chose to watch this first than the “If I stay” movie. It’s like “Well, I have no other choice” as this is one of the few entertainment you can have in our province. That could be my first time to watch a Filipino movie in a big screen and well I am impressed. Though I really don’t have a lot of experience in criticizing Filipino movies and I get easily distracted than reading a story from a book.

Birthday and Blogging

I am 18 years old inside a 23 year old body. If not because of the persons who asks for my handa, this day will left unnoticed. I was so excited to turn 18 when I was younger for the reason that I could get accepted to summer job etc. Now, I shudder at the thought of getting old and finally yes... I could relate with others.

Birthday are for kids but I never had one. If it's my turn to become a parent, I'll make sure that my kids would at least enjoy Christmas and Birthdays for those are wonderful memories you could give to them. Being 23 years old sucks. At this age, you should have at least a decent and a good paying job and experience more of life. I even wanted to start a married life at 25 and that's 2 years ahead. It seems that I need some extension. This will always be me, a late bloomer.

Brother didn't drop by like what he used to do. Well, it seems that it will be an ordinary day for the rest of my life. Anyways, thank you for those few who remembered: Ailyn, Edmalyn, Victor, Faye and some close kin.

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday,
happy birthday
happy birthday to you.

Olay Whitening Papaya Soap Review

Olay Natural White
Healthy Fairness with Papaya Extract

There is this myth that papaya is a food aphrodisiac and has the ability to make the bowel soft. This and the inconsistent sweetness dissuades me from eating ripe papaya unless it’s still young and crunchy with vinegar to dip in.

Back when Papaya is the only trending skin whitener, avoidance of using such product when under the sun is a common belief. So how about when we eat papaya, does it whiten our stomach too? Should we eat papaya in moderation? Among all whitening ingredients though, Papaya is still the most popular and leading whitening agent and hopefully gentler than the products that followed it.

Olay Whitening Papaya Soap Review

Product Description

First VIP Experience in Sample Room (Part 7)

The pending review I talked about last time was already approved when I thought it will not going to be at all. Few more days (3 days?) and my VIP subscription will end. As I reach the ending phase of my VIP subscription, reviews takes longer (weeks) to be approved. So far, it kept my impulse buying at bay and most of all it prevented me from wasting money. This might be my last haul as the over the counter way of payment doesn't inspire me.

During the time I am writing this, I still eyeing another haul but I only looked at it and let it vanish after few minutes. That's how fast SR samples gets out of stock. The product includes Burt's Bees plain lip balm, Himalaya Face Pack and Burt's Bees Hand Cream. I still have 2 hand creams left, a shimmery lip balm of the same brand and a hesitation to Himalaya products as it doesn't give me outstanding result so far. Hmm... I wonder if it will work well if paired with other Himalaya variants. I actually want to complete the Burt's Bees set but I feel the need to be reasonable.

Syoss Moisture Keratin Shampoo Review

I bought this with Loreal Anti-Freeze Conditioner thinking it was a conditioner too. To my surprise, it was a shampoo. Oh well I didn’t look at the bottle properly. It’s a bit confusing since Syoss bottle (for conditioner and shampoo) is the same, the only difference is the color. Maybe if the label is given a strong emphasis, like a huge letter or red font color, there’s a strong possibility that it will catch my attention.

I’ve used Tresseme even before it has been advertised in the television since my aunt from other country used to send us different products. Syoss looks the same with the concept of bottle container and color coding and most of all the keratin stuff. I took a bottle to try if it works the same. I picked the wrong variant though…
