Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Cleansing Cream Review

I’ve been switching to different cleansers mainly for this blog and because of boredom. There are still a lot of samples in my waiting list which made me cringe sometimes.

The cream is not thick or very watery. It is light, rich and very easy to spread. It feels mild and it doesn’t lather. It has a seal, which is something just appropriate for a product with natural ingredients. The sample only last for 1 week and few days and perhaps because it’s a cream type cleanser.

The coolness it leaves in the skin lasts for more than a minute. It’s the only beauty product I’ve tried that has a long lasting coolness. The scent is very calming and feels therapeutic to me. The experience is nearly similar with how liniments feel in the skin.

I am so drawn in this refreshing experience that my interest soared. Hopefully, I would be able to try all their other products someday. Who knows I might be sticking with their products eventually.

Iwhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream (Review)

I always have a stock of Iwhite peeling masks (both the nose and face mask). It didn't cross my mind to use their moisturizer though due to my oily face. Some products are not just meant for me. To still insist is very silly. The thing is, I missed the part of it's being “water-based”. It learned and finally took notice of it through other blog post.

I still use moisturizer sparingly. It's not for everyday routine. I wait for my facial skin to show signs that it needed moisturization. The frequent changes of climate in this country changes the condition and needs of my skin too. I skip using this with cleansers that makes the face feel already moisturized but not for cleansers that gives squeaky clean and dry skin after.

I was waiting for the delivery and arrival of this products since this always been the easiest to blog. Unfortunately, it was not the case this time. After 2 despondent weeks, those previous ideas that should have been included in this post has slipped my mind.

And then there was this guy friend who asked for any blog updates. Seriously? A guy reading girly stuff? Books are not counted though. Why is that the majority of the guys I knew are not interested with books and as if they're allergic of it? Even if my other guy best friend started reading Dan Brown's books, I can't still coerce him to read books that is for him “baduy” and “nakakabawas ng pagkalalake”.

Going back, it's really getting harder to think of what to say. There's this researching, reading articles, and polishing. I also want that a part of me reflected on those written words. There's also the pressure of catching the frequency of posts versus the quality. But I feel incomplete in the idea of abandoning this as there's something in this blog that give me a supplementary purpose.

But still there's ecstasy from stocking new products and to trying them later on...

In old books and in televisions, they used to tell that there's no other way to remove stretch mark unless it's surgery. It gave me the impression that there's no other option and that the rest of my life will be spent with stretch marks. I learned about this marks during my high school days when my always frank sister pointed it out when she saw it.

It was an existing old stretchmarks that is definitely not caused by pregnancy. I don't remember scratching those areas. With the lack of knowledge before, I assumed it was the culprit.

This book has been mentioned in different reading materials I encountered before. Finally I decided to read it and gave it the attention I withhold before. Why not when I consider myself as a wallflower in the past and it was even my friendster name. It was a codename that a few who cared knew.

This book is different from what I have in mind before. Instead of a female character, it was actually like a diary of a guy in a letter form. I initially thought it was a collection of advantages of being single. It shows that Charlie, the main character, is not the worst kind of wallflower at all. He’s actually lucky and has plenty of people who love him yet he feels lonely in some way.

It’s very easy to relate with especially that the time frame was during his freshman year. Being a first year student is such an unforgettable moment. It’s the first step towards a lot of changes and exposures while we leave the memories of our childhood years behind. It makes me remember the song of Taylor Swift, the “Fifteen”.

This book is mostly for those who are in a bad relationship (even though you don’t realize it) and those who are planning to move out. It’s good for NBS (No Boyfriend Since Birth), for those single in status yet haven’t learned the wisdom of breaking up and for those who are in need ideas to cope up from a failed relationship.

The Fault in Our Stars (Movie Review)

It was bf who wants us to watch the film after being advertised in local televisions. The book cover may look very cute but that doesn’t mean I am enticed to watch it. I have its e-book version owing to some mild curiosity (just to know what the buzz is all about) but the idea of prior reading was abandoned because it felt like it was more special when both of us is oblivious to spoiling details.

It was weird not to be moved when the majority who watched this got tears and was touched. Did I gotten cold? I feel like a total alien due to contrasting impression. Just like the movie “If I Stay”, this can’t stand alone without the book. It’s only through subtitle that I was able to catch up, but the subtitle was still quick and unnatural. It’s hard to absorb or I‘m really that slow.

Miacare Acne Patch for Night Review

Whenever I return home, darkness already intimidated the night sky and the spaces underneath. BER months means longer nights. The earliness discourages me and makes me less productive. I still want to do some work but it’s as if it’s a call to stop. Oh how I wish this gloomy air to end asap.

Finally, I was able to try this product. High expectation just led me to some disappointment. Bench Acne Patch is more effective than this (perhaps it’s because Bench is medicated). Nonetheless, there are still some parts of it worth appreciating.

Packaging

I somehow feel there’s something wrong in the way the English words are expressed. For packaging, it’s cute and well presented. After trying the product though, it seems that they need to trim some design and make it simple to match the product effectiveness too.

Ingredients are not included. It’s only labeled as hydrocolloid dressing. It didn’t mention if it’s medicated.

It’s difficult to convince other people to try something new and break their old habits. I am also like that years ago and still a bit of it until now. It’s only because of this blog, the promise of a solution and rediscovery of more satisfying product that somehow drags me out of the comfort zone.

To fully benefit in this product, that particular area of the skin and your belongings that will be in contact with the skin should also be clean. It’s possible for an unpleasant odor to still occur if the sweat is very excessive. But for average people, Milcu performs well. I can also vouch of its effectiveness since it works better compared to other products I’ve tried before. It only consists of 2 ingredients yet it works way more than other deodorizing product.

I really thought I've already made an entry about this cuticle coat but when I search around this blog, it seems that I need to accept it was just an imagination.

Hair serum is essential in taming my unruly hair. This is actually a mainstay in my stash. I always bring this wherever I go. I only feel confident not to bring this if my hair is straightened. Serum really doesn't have a huge effect in my hair but doing nothing feels much worse. If only hair straightening is inexpensive and healthy for our scalp. Using the right shampoo still helps most of the time.

I'm not actually using hair serum everyday, but this product is a necessity. It's important for instant grooming and giving the hair a lovely shine. I heavily rely on this for a boost of confidence and for a presentable look.

In Koreanovelas, it’s common to see the casts wearing this stuff. It’s as if it's a natural part of their beauty regimen unlike us Filipinos. It really made me curious of how it feels like when this is applied in the face. Does it make a lot more difference and yield much better result? Perhaps this makes them more beautiful considering that they have already a naturally nice skin.

Sometimes it gets overwhelming to deal with difficult people. We sort to aggression or stay silent than finding ways to properly handle them. They're everywhere and worst they're grown up. It's as if they need some values education and doesn't have any idea of what being matured means.

I'm into reading no-brainer books that consists of few pages to give me a sense of achievement of finishing a book. Despite the small size though, this book is very packed with practical and relevant information that won't make you regret.

Just Some Negative Comments

Having consistent internet connection, I became more exposed in how Facebook becomes a venue of uncivilized netizens with their constant sharing of bad words. It's not as polluted and corrupted during it's early flourish. Guess it's always the problem when a place becomes bigger and crowded. This is how FB is different with forums, since the latter has moderators who penalizes member with undesirable behaviors. It made me miss the concept of little preschoolers listing their noisy classmates.

Just past few days, I received a very insulting comment. Not knowing the full content yet, I instantly made a draft of response (which I haven't posted after) and published that person's comment only to find out that it was longer than what is visible in the comment approval section of Blogger. The other longer part was written in a tactless way that encourages debate. Worst is that the person belittled me and ridiculed me with “haha” in his comment.

Because of that, I wasn't able to carry out my night routine works and just went to sleep after getting tired and overwhelmed of that negative feedback. Perhaps he's happy in how he can affect the lives of other people that way.

Sample Room Products Received #12

The shipping fee of this products costs around P160. Oh, is there another increased of shipping fee? With this, I did ask myself if everything is still worth it or if it's wiser to try another sampling site. Then I found out that the increase was due to the total weight of this products. It's around .75kg. I should have chosen another combination of products and maximize the weight range. It would be nicer if the increase is around P10 only, from P140 it will become P150 instead of P160.

Payment

The payment is P180 for over the counter Gcash transaction. I paid late due to attempt of doing the transaction using Globe sim card, but that's a failed story. So after 2 days, that was the only time I was able to fully pay this loots. For the next orders though, there will be less hassle in payments as I created a new Gcash account.

Delivery

Late payment means late response from SR too. It's a relief when the order was not forfeited. The product was delivered after the expected 3 days arrival.

Bench Clearpore Acnedot Gel Patches Review

I saw this kind of products just few years ago in Baguio Watsons. The price of a small box which is around 200php to 300+ raised my curiosity. I was clueless how it works before and was skeptical of its effectiveness and how practical it can get. Perhaps this would works since it's expensive. The instant effect and the idea of covering the bump of the acne is very bewitching. Make up can also be applied after (Though not for Bench). This could be a wonderful part of kikay first aid kit for an approaching event and to get rid of pimples asap. (I'm actually talking about a different brand in this paragraph just let you know and to avoid confusion).

The available smaller pack made me finally buy this. I can now try it cheaply without wasting a lot of money in case of product failure and dissatisfaction.

But before the MiaCare Acne patch review, I will work with Bench Clearpore Acnedot first since it was also the first I was able to purchase.

Since they discourage us of kakikayan as we grew up, plain t-shirt and jeans became my usual getup. Imitating what's common within our age group back on those old days seems like joining a cult and have to avoid. Perhaps our parents only want us to grow simple while their conservative nature makes them believe it's just their way to prevent us from becoming materialistic. Depriving us a lot of what we should have at least enjoyed created a void that makes us feel there's still missing and not right.

Too bad those gurly stuff and instinct didn't develop naturally and it seems I have to crawl like a baby to reach the destination I want to achieve. I can't totally relate. It's something I have too seek than turn a blind eyes.

My Expectations

I was still hesitant to buy this that I browse the pages first, it's the t-shirt tips that convince me into purchasing my own copy (I believed that the rest would be like that). I was expecting it to be an idiot's guide for fashion and will gives life saver ideas. Or some story of real life situation and how the author handled it. I won't consider this as a fashion bible for it's too brief and is a marketing exaggeration.

More on Good things...

Sarah Geronimo looks astigin and gorgeous in the book as well as Julia Barreto's fresh beauty that will make you stare longer (even after disliking her with the father thingy issue). It's just that Filipina models was given a little exposure and spot light in general. I do love the featured bags and rubber shoes while not so much for the rest.

2 Hours in Baguio

I have to go to Baguio because I have to. When you lose control of everything, you have to do something to bring out the first big step for transformation and restoration. So when something turns infuriating again, you have something to hold on.

Bad luck will always be there so you have to understand that it could happen even in undesired times. Experiencing it for the first time is normal. I’m not sure if what’s the most appropriate reaction; is it better to stay calm or be angry of what happened? Both is okay and is applicable in different kind of situation. Yet now, I’ll choose to stay calm BUT forever bear in mind that unpleasant incident and try to be wary and alert next time.

I hope I could keep up in blogging after being gone for 2 weeks. I have tons of products to review by now that I limit myself from buying skincare products during the short escapade in Baguio.

Sim Replacement from Lost Cellphone

I lost my phone last July with my 2 most important and valuable sim card. The TNT sim card is a loader sim and was my longest sim I’ve used. It was a fruit of initiative and it carries with it my memories of summer job and college life. With loader sim and a brand that has one of the lowest promos, that’s totally a steal. The other one is a TM sim card I have perhaps last year or early this year. It was our couple sim. I was really heart broken when I lost them.

I went to Smart just few months ago but I was informed that loader sim is irreplaceable.

For TM sim. I went a fortnight ago at Globe Center. After the long line and long transaction, they were not able to find a sim card that would match the code of my number. The stocks will be delivered on Friday. 1 week later, it was exhausting to find out that they close at an early hour of Sunday. 2 weeks later, I learned that they close at 4 pm. And then just now, it’s confirmed that their opening hours is 9 am. Today is Monday and I came back at lunch again only to find out that my number is already expired and can’t be replaced anymore. It’s just 4 months and it’s already expired. Worst is that the number is registered in my name and was used in my transaction with Globe Gcash. The TM simcard has a remaining balance of around 300 pesos and now they’re just gone with the sim.

Argan & Rosemary Organic Oil Treatment Review

I was about to make a review of this hair treatment last week it’s just that well, I've already given a hint of what I ‘ve went through during those days.

I received this hair treatment from Old Wives Tail. They let me pick what specific product I would like to review so I chose the Argan oil since it’s almost everywhere and I was just starting to get acquainted of it back then. I should have asked them to personally recommend a specific mask that is best for my normal hair though.

My hair hasn’t undergone any chemical straightening for a year now and that means it’s in its natural state but is very hard to tame with weather change. It’s moody and I’m yet to find a serum that works with virgin hair. Can you recommend some?

It does smell a hint of Vicks vaporub and perhaps cinnamon. Some people might find themselves uncomfortable of its smell.  But hey, that’s just being pure and organic. I can somehow tolerate it and I’m still using it. It would be nice though if they could mask the smell with other nice smelling organic product since the scent is a huge factor that attracts and gives the consumer a nice experience.

I’m getting curious of Bench recently and have thought they were all on perfume and clothes. I'm always curious of Organic products and this caught my attention since it is called “Bench Organics” (Not sure if it is Organic though). I remember how my adviser said, “Don’t use baby wipes, it will give you pimples”. Even if the idea of wiping the face for instant feel of hydration is tempting, I didn’t dare try baby wipes on my face since then.

After a tedious day, how we wish we can go to sleep straight after. Personal hygiene should still be done though. And if you are afraid of having big pores, you should make sure to remove your make up. To go with the flow too, I want to try some facial wipes. This time, I’m not afraid to use this as it is made exactly for the face. Good thing that trying it doesn’t hurt with the P30 price.

I quickly received this free samples. It's almost like the normal LBC one day delivery. I was expecting it to arrive around Monday-Wednesday last week but I got it already last Sunday. Perhaps it arrived Saturday when I wasn't at home and wasn't informed by a family member.

I like to receive Zenutrients products too because I love organic and natural products most. Should I subscribe for VIP because of that? Not yet... I don't like panic buying and the feeling of being pressured. The BDJ box sounds appealing here since it's cheaper and their products is mostly worth it. It's all just imagination and day dream for now. Occasional and cheap drugstore finds does the trick of diversion sometimes.

Maybe I'd just go to their stall in Baguio and personally pick the products I want to try.

Megan Purifying Nose Pore Strips with Rose Extract Review

Happy November!!! I've been in a rest period for 1 week. I was kinda freak during those time and I am attending a seminar too. I made a draft actually but I forgot to save it. OCD won't let me start another new draft without being able to post that previous draft. Took me days before I got that copy (because it was created from a different PC and not from my personal lappy), but the desire to post it just fade away...

The product review I have here now is a nose pore strip from the brand Megan. Since I regularly use peel off masks to remove whiteheads and hopefully blackheads, trying different brands won't hurt and is also a great way to learn which brand works better.

There are other variants of Megan from other blog reviews such as the “Deep Cleansing” but this is the only available variant during the time I bought this.

Nivea Extra White Repair Pore Minimiser Foam Whitening Review

I have seen this already in skincare sections of different stores. I just didn't put so much attention due to its label “10x whitening” even if the pore minimizer thingy is attractive. It's only due to my close friend who said it was doing well on her that made me grab it. The curiosity intensified when she said she received a lot of compliments like they're asking her what she did in her face and the likes.

I struggle with big pores. I just woke up one day realizing I have a lot of tiny little holes in the face. I was wondering if it's due to pimples that has been pricked. (But I don't really prick pimples). Perhaps it can also be due to sleeping without removing even minimal powder or foundation.

Removes Make up Claim

I am not using heavy make up so I'm not really sure of its ability to remove make up. I am not convinced it will totally remove though. There are still times that I feel the need to wash the face 3 times. Ah well you can blame me, I only use a tiny amount of this product as it lathers well.

Block & White Ultima Whitening Soap with Glutathione Review

I'm not really into whitening products but you will find me still trying some. I can't help it for skincare shelves of stores are most likely limited to whitening and exfoliating products. Finding something mild seems an alien preference nowadays.

I'm fine with the skin color I have now. Not really too fair but above average. The only problematic body part is my arms as it is usually exposed to sunlight.

I didn't see a dramatic change in my skin color with this soap. Perhaps it's because I'm already fair and gotten fairer from the past soaps and lotions I've used. It feels like I've mostly gotten used of different ways each ingredients whitens the skin. During the time I've used this soap though, it seems people saw me getting fair for the first time. To hear someone says “You're fair” even if you are in the first place doesn't sound a compliment sometimes. It feels weird and abnormal.

I still switch to a milder soap. Alternate use of whitening products or using it only when needed seems a less guilt-causing regimen.

Burt's Bees Milk & Honey Body Lotion (Review)

Even if trying different beauty products seems fun, there are times that appreciation of simplicity and mildness sinks in. Being natural is a very nice campaign. That is why organic things are given a mass spotlight. However, simple is being natural in some sense right? So it's only appropriate to try a simple approach first. Ironically, embracing organic doesn't look simple at all.

Back to Burt's Bees, this is the first commercial organic hand and body lotion I have tried despite its sample size. When it comes to lotion, I want to feel like I splashed myself with water and for that to stay without the feeling of warmness and heaviness.

Smell | Texture

I understand why other doesn't like the smell. It's far from those common drugstore lotions; it doesn't smell like a perfume nor floral. I was even surprise when I first got the chance to smell it. It's not yummy like what I am expecting it will be. It's somehow familiar though. I just can't figure out where I encountered the scent in the past.

No one is perfect. A person can have a lot of friends yet incapable of keeping a stable relationship. Their decision can represent the kind of personality they have. There are instances that a friend is very vulnerable of doing embarrassing and stupid things yet they're the one who sticks in the darkest days.

The downside with this is being side tracked and blinded. Putting yourself into too much extras than what you can handle and needed.

Because of the approaching Christmas season, there's a possibility of more surprises too. Different brands might have thought of sponsoring and releasing new products.

If I have a rich supply of money, I'll go for it. It's like spending P1000 per month of subscription. You can already get your basic toiletries from them, only it's different from the brand you're used to. I want to try the new VIP of Sample Room but the additional expenses needs a lot of consideration. Besides, money is hard earned.

Aveeno with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal Soap Review

During the trending days of oatmeal, using soaps with real raw oats gave me doubts of its exfoliating ability. Does it finely exfoliate the skin or it only feels like scraping it unevenly? Another thing is it will only work when directly applied in the skin, just like how you use loofah and stone. Not that I am not a believer of the benefits of oatmeal. There's a lot of reason to love oatmeal especially of its internal health benefits . It's just that I prefer finely ground oatmeal for external purposes.

This is a must try to satisfy a hungry curious mind and to know the cause of the oatmeal raves. Oatmeal is coarse when not soaked longer in water but is surprisingly soft when properly made. It left residues in the face so it's messy for those who have an active social life. You don't want an oatmeal when you're applying your make up right? During night time, it's hard to decide if it's okay to still use your regular moisturizer due to the same residue issues. There is no squeaky clean feeling but it does make the face feel soft. It can't remove make-up so you have to use a separate make-up remover if you really want to stick with this oatmeal routine.

Will I use this again? Not yet, it doesn't suit my current lifestyle. I have to make sure to completely remove the powder and foundation residues at the end of every day. Maybe later in life when I will mostly stay in the house.

I started looking for a hand cream when I became bored of using petroleum jelly. The latter makes the hand feels warm and heavy. As my hand adjusted with using gloves during laundry, the skin started to thicken as it isn't exposed to harsh detergents anymore (No more unintended chemical exfoliation). No more scaly hand every Mondays or Tuesdays only cracked and bleeding skin especially in thumb area. It was just an adjustment stage as my hands is healthy again. It's even better looking now and I even got occasional compliments of having a beautiful hand.

Having too many hand lotions in different places doesn't work on me. Unless I have all the money in the world and would stock and use the same brand only. I have to stick to one else I'll risk myself for another skin irritation. Oh yeah I once religiously apply hand cream and confidentially wash my hands. Less is always better though.

When it comes to pressed powder, I want to invest into something worth the price. With so many choices in the market, products mostly doesn't meet expectations. Usually higher price indicates quality. It's just that you have to go find the store (which is typically far) or order from a catalog without trying it first hand. Worst scenario is to realize you've bought an expensive pressed powder that works cheaply. As much as possible I want to find a dupe or even something that ranges between cheap and expensive but still works perfectly fine.

Initial Dislike

It has a matte finish that gives me a dull face or sometimes lifeless look. It was then left unused. When my other cream powder gotten empty, the left choice is to continue using this. I always feel sorry for a wasted money anyway. I was able to finish it. Nothing too great and there's nothing too bad either. Maybe I just have too much expectation on the label “oil control” it has.

I’m not actually fond of shades since I believed it will never look good on me. Relatives were generous enough to give each of us this kind of pasalubong back when we were younger. After few use, it will then be kept in the closet and left unattended for the next years.

Mom always use a pair of shades. For her, it makes the eye comfortable from bright sunlight. It helps avoid head aches and nastiest migraine. It eases the mood and lessens irritation from too much brightness exposure.

Don't wait until you need to wear a bikini to realize you need to lighten some areas below the waist. It's just an unsightly thing to display in a crowd. What more if you'll join a rare pageant or was invited for an event that include dipping in a swimming pool? Don’t embarrass yourself and start to even out those dark spots. If you're already using a whitening soap, why not concentrate on those areas every time you wash?

This product is in gel form and has a tolerable scent that reminds me of alcohol or antiperspirant. It’s light but there’s a need to wait for a while for the skin to absorb it. It didn’t give me skin irritation so far. Some ingredients such as talc are believed to cause ovarian cancer but Gluta-C Intense Whitening Gel claims safe to use though I wonder to what extent.

Just Some Over the Counter Skin Care Products

Hmmm... It looks few. Aside from old stocks not shown here, I ordered another loot in Sample Room but not as VIP anymore. I want more (on cosmetic products though) but I only have one skin and body apart from limited time and funds.

They're mostly basic toiletries so there's no huge guilt feeling...

This is actually a large loot compared to my typical purchases. I mostly buy 1-3 products since groceries/shops are within reach. This practice is a good prevention from excessive buying of wants. But when it comes to needs such as foods and the likes, it's a different story.

Vaseline, Bodycology and Alcohol Allergy (Applying Aloe Vera)

The first time I got skin irritation due to beauty products, I was using this trio. A year ago, I also discover I am allergic of shrimps. No one in the family has allergy in those foods unless if we go upper to the hierarchy; my Tita is allergic of chicken. It’s possible that I’m the lucky receiver of the recessive traits or it’s the consequence of this budding skincare fascination. (Good thing I’m not allergic of chicken!)

 First Time it Happened

A frequent use of hand sanitizer and hand cream gave red rashes on my left hand. Perhaps I’m using Vaseline during those times too. I cannot recall if it appeared instantly or the next day. I still use hand cream the next day, but I really avoided applying at the back of my hands. It took me a month of agonizing wait before the bumps dried and vanished. I put the blame more on the hand cream even if I mostly took it for granted.

During those times too, I noticed that the deodorant reacts with Vaseline lotion. The latter doesn’t spread once in contact with deodorant.

A Ghost Week | Reflection

Here comes again my weekly reflection and the much awaited free day. It seems that I'm really missing the daily blog post target. The total post for the month of September is lesser than what is desired. I'm torn between catching the target frequency over creating a quality post. How I wish I can share some valuable life experiences and wisdom if only opportunities are generous. There might be few product reviews to come as I'm short of supplies now though I have some old stocks pending for review. I just haven't tried them yet.

This week came and end in a blink. Hindi pa nga ako nakakaget-over sa last week program and activities. I've done my tasks, tutok pa nga eh, and still hindi ko ramdam ang week na to. Maybe you'll really lost track of time when you focus too much at what you're doing.

One Post a Day

I can only make 1 good post within a day. Trying to make more than that might become a litter in my blog. The excess is either another low quality post or I'll get myself vulnerable of total inspiration and mood loss. Mahirap din mag-isip. Though thinking pushes us to do something worthwhile in our life na minsan para may maipost lang :D. It's like passing into a check point where you'll be asked of “What did you accomplish in life recently?”.

Surprisingly, Absynthe Hair Shampoo is the most expensive shampoo I’ve tried. It costs around P400+. It appears that the web is plagued with good and sponsored reviews of this shampoo.

I’ve won this product from this august give-away post. Despite the unappealing container, I was looking forward for a wonderful hair pampering experience considering that it has a lot of promising ingredients that is natural and organic. Upon seeing this personally for the first time though, hesitation started to form. Should I use it or not?

Not So Typical Packaging

The whole bottle is covered with plastic so it’s just okay if it doesn’t have another seal for the cap. That additional seal only gave it a less decent look especially that it looks like it was just printed using an ordinary printer with an ordinary sticker paper too. The bottles are not the usual kind too. It reminds me of the bottle of muriatic acid. The design perhaps is unisex but due to the color it looks somehow masculine.

Dove White Beauty Bar (Review)

There's a mix feeling of love and hate in my past experience with Dove soap. Since I was accustomed with bar soaps that gives a dry yet clean feeling, using Dove for the first time is quite a turn off. The new smooth bath experience can still be tolerated even if it feels like it doesn’t remove dirt and oil. It was during my high school years that I avoided this soap for the reason that it causes me to sweat more. The residues of the soap in the skin triggers perspiration for a student who has a lot of extra curricular activities and doesn’t have the luxury of staying in an air-conditioned room. The heat of the sun alone is uncomfortable and there’s even the bad humidity to count in. The discomfort intensified until it spoils my supposedly normal day.

Then I came back from using this soap. I find the change strange for I also can’t recall the main culprit that leads me to that shift. I still don’t like this for morning use but I found a way to appreciate it by using this only at night. The smooth and silky feel it provides makes the slumber heavenly. There’s something comforting in the way the fabric touches the skin when you use this. It makes my bed a soothing haven and takes part in giving me a good night sleep.

If you browse over the internet, you'll find a lot of horror and heartbreaking stories of lost packages sent by love ones abroad. I’m about to make a product review when my mind suddenly drift into contemplation. I’ve tried different products just because an online review gave a promising result. Then when I tried it, I feel foolish after.

Reviews are not always credible. Reading a single review is not enough due to large garbage of information. Some reviews are influenced by paid advertisement while some collection of reviews in a single site came from a mixture of consumers with different level of experiences.

A good review should given a thorough observation and should somehow educate potential buyers. It has distinguished qualities that set it apart from a sponsored post. It should have a goal of guiding us in decision making.

Colour Collection Lip Perfection (in Crema) Review

If you don't want getting  an impression that is far from your personality, wear the right shade. Wearing red lipstick in the past has gone through arguments and controversies. Bold colors were worn by performers and ehem, prostitutes. Well, that’s in the past. I’m just a teenager when I was given my first lipstick. They should have given me lip balms instead, ewan ko ba.

I was hesitant to try Crema as it looks somehow similar with my previous lipsticks, but then the only way you can find the shade that suits you best is to have a first hand experience. Merely swatching it on the side of the hands is not enough for beginners. (Unless the skin in your hands and in your lips really looks the same). I have dark and dull lips and I really don’t find swatching helpful. There’s a lot of contributing factor too that makes it different once applied in the lips such as the consistency, pigmentation, thickness, luster, ingredients, skin tone, looks, personality etc. So even after you swatch it in your hands or forearm, it will not be the same as what it will be in the lips.

Weekend Jam

The previous week was packed with program and activities. There's also the presence of typhoons and a discomfort brought by dysmenorrhea. Tasks still needs to be juggled. That's why I'm really looking forward for the end of the week to come.

Unwantedness, when shown openly, is very uninspiring. It can instantly change a fine mood into a pathetic feeling and hopelessness. It leaves an ugly impression, create division and a negative chain reaction to those who are a narrow minded.

Bahay na Bato (Stone House)

Bahay na Bato, found in the province of La Union ,is not the typical historical house known for stone foundations and wooden second floor rather it's like a rest house with lots of stone sculptures in different sizes. There's also a tiny swimming pool where kids can dip in and have fun. Stones in the pathways has flower carvings and there's another pathway where wood carvings with faces are displayed.

You can choose to mind your own business and be unique or be under the shadow of someone ahead of you. Which is better?

White shoes are hard to find and they're also my daily standard shoes. I really have to wait and go to different stores to find the right design. Aside from being picky, I don't want to exceed P800 if there's a cheaper alternative. Why invest for a very expensive one if it won't look presentable (as it will worn) for the next following years? A lifespan of 6 months is okay. White flat shoes looks very neat if you can maintain its brand new look.
